Ned Jarrett raced his Richmond Ford through the 1965 Grand National Series and won his second championship. Jarrett was a fierce competitor on the track, but he was known to his fellow drivers as Gentleman Ned Jarrett for his demeanor. Though he only raced in seven seasons full-time, Jarrett retired the following year in 1966 at age 34. When leaving the series, he left as the reigning champion. Due to his successful career, he was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2011.
